I had to put Joshua in a time out yesterday because Annette told him not to touch something and he disobeyed. I set up his foot stool against the wall which he initially tried to climb ontop of. Then I held him sitting down as he cried through the last minute of his 2 minute time out.
This morning, he saw the stool, sat on it by himself, and said "time out, messy" and then got up.
I think, but am not positive he got the message.
