Self Censure

Joshua spotted a whistle on the hallway table on the way out the door to school, touched it, put it down and said, "I told myself, Do not blow the whistle because you might wake up Nuna (our neighbor upstairs." I am constantly amazed at Joshua's self awareness and ability to delay gratification and restrain himself.

It has been a lot of fun watching Joshua use his imagination and make new lego creations all the time. Here is a "crusher" he designed, and he's explaining how it works.

Cut my toenail!

Joshua's sleep schedule has been a bit off the past few days with mom gone and parties every night. He had a huge nap today--3 hours, and is having some diffculty going to bed tonight. At 10pm, he was crying and sobbing. I couldn't understand him at first, but after a couple iterations, I finally understood him: "I want to cut my toenail."
